Stephen Michael Stirling (1953-) is a Canadian-American author of science fiction and fantasy. His stories often involve military themes.
As well as his solo work, Stirling has collaborated with Jerry Pournelle, David Drake, Anne McCaffrey and James Doohan. He also produced three novels that follow on from Terminator 2 - Judgement Day.
Stirling is probably best known for his Draka Alternate History series.
