Here is high fidelity fiction at Philip José Farmer's storytelling best. It's a vibrant, distractingly different tale of three centuries into the future. And as you read you'll have a vague, uneasy feeling that it's all taking place somewhere in the unexplored parts of the universe, even today. Enslaved by a triangular powered despotism -- one lone man sets his sights to the Six Bright Stars and eventual freedom of his world. |

Jack Crane lay all morning in the vacant lot. Now and then he moved a little to quiet the protest of cramped muscles and stagnant blood, but most of the time he was as motionless as the heap of rags he resembled. Not once did he hear or see a Bohas agent, or, for that matter, anyone. The predawn darkness had hidden his panting flight from the transie jungle, his dodging across backyards while whistles shrilled and voices shouted, and his crawling on hands and knees down an alley into the high grass and bushes which fringed a hidden garden. Crane didn't get the nice man's name--until it was far too late to do anything at all about it. |

Click Here | Product Description: Two complete novels and five novelettes that broke new ground in science fiction and established Philip Jose Farmer as a master of the genre:  The Lovers: One of the most controversial and groundbreaking novels in science fiction. Sent by the religious tyranny of a future Earth to the planet Ozagen, Hal Yarrow met Jeanette, an apparently human fugitive, hiding in ancient ruins built by a long-vanished race. Unconsecrated contact with any female was forbidden to Yarrow—and love for an alien female was an unspeakable abomination. But Yarrow’s lifelong conditioning was no match for his strange attraction to Jeanette.  Flesh: The starship captain had been on a voyage lasting 800 years, and returned to find an Earth ruled by revived ancient pagan rituals. He was crowned the “Sunhero,” which was a very dubious honor . . . and unless he could escape, he would be the guest of honor at a fertility rite which would conclude with his very unpleasant death.  Strange Relations: Five novelettes of unbounded imagination telling of strange—and often deadly—encounters between human and alien. |

Click Here | Product Description: Revival on the banks of the River was not limited to white Anglo Saxons. This tale reinterprets the Riverworld resurrection through the eyes of a tribe of primitive people, whose beliefs and superstitions blend marvelously with what has happened to them. This tale was singled out by Science Fiction Chronicle for praise as a worthwhile addition to the Riverworld canon. This story, like "The Merry Men of Riverworld," was written with Philip Jose Farmer's permission. |
