First published in 1978, Omni was a magazine that contain science fact and short science fiction articles, as well as interviews with many top scientists. The print magazine went out of business in 1996. An Internet edition was launched, but the staff of that venture was laid off in 1998, and the last remaining content from the archives removed from the Internet in 2003.
