Obi-Wan Kenobi is a Jedi who appears in all six Star Wars movies.
In Episode I: The Phantom Menace, Episode II: Attack of the Clones and Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, the young Obi-Wan Kenobi (played by Ewan McGregor) discovers Anakin Skywalker and takes him as his Padawan. Despite Obi-Wan Kenobi's best efforts, Anakin Skywalker turns to the Dark side of the force in Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.
In Episode IV: A New Hope, Obi-Wan Kenobi (played by Sir Alec Guinness) is much older, and is initially living as a hermit. He then joins with Luke Skywalker in a quest that leads to the Death Star, where Obi-Wan is killed in a Light Saber duel with Darth Vader.
In Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back and Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, Obi-Wan Kenobi appears in spirit form and continues to act as mentor to Luke Skywalker.
